A Nonconference Gauntlet
The University of Arkansas soccer team unveiled its 2026 schedule on Thursday, promising a rigorous nonconference slate that blends home fixtures with challenging road trips. The Razorbacks will host five of their six nonconference matches at Razorback Field, giving fans a chance to see top-tier opponents on their own turf.
In addition to the home games, Arkansas will test itself against Power Five programs Baylor, North Carolina, Clemson, Little Rock and Jackson State, while also arranging preseason exhibitions against Kansas City on August 5 and a trip to Memphis on August 8. A road encounter with Loyola Maryland is slated for August 16, further sharpening the squad before conference play begins.
Coach Colby Hale emphasized that the schedule is designed to challenge the team, improve its RPI and provide meaningful experiences early in the season. ‘Our goal is to compete at the highest level, earn a strong seed for the NCAA Tournament and keep building on the momentum we created last year,’ he said.
SEC Battles on the Horizon
When conference play arrives, the Razorbacks will face a who’s‑who of the SEC, hosting Texas, Georgia, Auburn, Missouri and Florida at home while traveling to Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Kentucky. Each matchup promises a high‑stakes battle, as Arkansas looks to defend its recent SEC regular‑season title.
The team enters the league schedule with a roster that returns several key contributors from last season’s squad, which captured the SEC regular‑season championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Washington in extra time. The continuity should give the Razorbacks a solid foundation as they aim to repeat their success.
Looking Ahead
With a blend of seasoned veterans and promising newcomers, Arkansas is poised to tackle the demanding calendar and translate its early‑season challenges into a strong postseason push. Fans can expect an exciting brand of soccer as the Razorbacks strive to add another deep tournament run to their growing legacy.
