Razorbacks Head to the Bahamas for Summer Showdown
The Arkansas Razorbacks are set to embark on a four‑game tour of the Bahamas this summer, competing in the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League. The exhibition schedule will see the team open on July 31, followed by contests on August 1, 3 and 4, all held at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts and Entertainment Center in Nassau.
Coach John Calipari has framed the trip as more than a warm‑up; he says the seven‑day stretch will be crucial for forging chemistry both on and off the court as the program integrates a wave of new talent.
A Young Roster With Fresh Talent
This summer’s roster will be among the youngest in the nation, featuring five freshmen who have committed to the university and two portal acquisitions — Cooper Bowser from Furman and guard Jeremiah Wilkinson from Georgia.
The coaching staff will also be without returning wing Isaiah Sealy, who is sidelined by a knee injury, while veterans Trevon Brazile and Nick Pringle have exhausted their eligibility.
Meanwhile, prospects Meleek Thomas and Darius Acuff remain in the NBA Draft pool, and several other players such as Karter Knox, D.J. Wagner, Karim Rtail, Jaden Karuletwa, Elmir Dzafic and Malique Ewin have entered the transfer portal, with Knox heading to Louisville, Wagner to Maryland and Dzafic to Connecticut.
The field will also include South Carolina and Valparaiso, adding international flavor to a lineup that already features teams from Canada and various overseas programs.
The NCAA’s recent relaxation of foreign‑tour regulations has opened the door for such summer excursions, allowing programs to use the trips as a developmental tool without compromising eligibility.
Fans can expect a first look at the revamped Razorbacks, who will be looking to translate their summer chemistry into a strong showing when the regular season begins.
