A Summer of Change for the Razorbacks
The Razorbacks will land in Nassau for a five‑day stretch of games that forms part of the Baha Mar Summer Hoops League, a showcase event that brings together clubs from the Caribbean, North America and South America.
Arkansas is slated to meet the Bahamas national team, Carleton University of Ottawa, Toros del Valle of Colombia and the University of Calgary, each of which arrives with its own recent triumphs — Carleton having captured the Canadian championship last season and Toros del Valle securing the Colombian Apertura title.
Coach John Calipari has emphasized that the tour is as much about building chemistry as it is about giving supporters a first look at a squad that has been reshaped through the transfer portal, with newcomers such as Furman center Cooper Bowser and Georgia guard Jeremiah Wilkinson joining the mix.
The roster also welcomes redshirt freshman forward Paulo Semedo back into the fold, while wing Isaiah Sealy will be sidelined for a stretch after knee surgery, and veteran center Nick Pringle will be playing his final college games before exhausting his eligibility.
The departure of NBA draftees Meleek Thomas, Trevon Brazile and Darius Acuff opens space for fresh talent, including five freshmen commits — Jordan Smith, Abdou Toure, Miikka Muurinen, JJ Andrews and Maper Maker — who will arrive alongside the returning core.
As the team travels, Calipari hopes the experience will tighten bonds on the court and provide a vibrant backdrop for fans to connect with the new era of Arkansas basketball.
