Arkansas basketball is set to compete in the 2026 Baha Mar Hoops Summer League, a foreign‑tour event scheduled to take place in The Bahamas from July 31 through August 4, where the Razorbacks will play four matches against international opponents.
A Strategic Pre‑Season Journey
The schedule pits the Razorbacks against the senior‑aged Bahamas National Team, the defending Canadian collegiate champion Carleton University, the Colombian professional club Toros del Valle, and the University of Calgary.
All games will be staged at the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, a venue that has become a hub for international college basketball showcases.
The participation comes as part of new NCAA rules that permit college teams to embark on a foreign tour each year, giving Arkansas a rare chance to test new lineups before the regular season begins.
"This trip will help us build chemistry and give our fans a first look at the new team," Arkansas head coach John Calipari said, emphasizing the strategic value of the overseas schedule.
The University of Arkansas, Carleton University and the University of Calgary each bring distinct credentials: Arkansas as a perennial SEC contender, Carleton as the reigning Canadian collegiate champion, and Calgary as a program that previously tested the Baha Mar stage in 2025.
For the Razorbacks, the tour is more than a warm‑up; it is a deliberate effort to forge cohesion among a roster that features fresh talent and returning veterans, while also gauging how the new coaching philosophy translates on the court.
