Preseason Expectations
The SEC coaches’ preseason poll released this week placed the University of Arkansas women's soccer team second behind Vanderbilt, signaling high expectations for the Razorbacks as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
Arkansas capped the 2024 season by capturing the SEC regular‑season championship and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, a milestone that has set a strong foundation for the next year.
Returning Talent
The coaching staff has kept the core of that title‑winning squad intact, bringing back all five of the team’s top goal scorers, including Vailana Tu’ua, Kennedy Ball, Zoe Susi, Bella Field and Kyndal Ewertz.
Defensively, goalkeeper Keegan Smith and several key back‑line players are also back, providing continuity and experience between the posts.
The Razorbacks will test their readiness with an exhibition match against Kansas City next Thursday before heading to Memphis for a second friendly, giving the new roster a chance to gel.
The regular season officially begins on August 12 when Arkansas opens against Baylor at Razorback Field, a game that will mark the start of what many expect to be another competitive run.
