A fresh wave of support staff joins Arkansas State basketball
Arkansas State University announced that its men’s basketball program will welcome six new support staff members for the upcoming 2026‑27 season, a move designed to bolster the team’s operational and analytical capabilities.
Maiya Rawlinson, who previously served in the women’s basketball program at South Alabama, has been appointed director of basketball operations, bringing a fresh perspective and organizational expertise to the Razorbacks’ staff.
Riley Arnold, a former student manager at the University of Alabama for four seasons, now takes on the role of director of analytics and strategy, where he will oversee data‑driven decision making for the program.
A diverse talent pool
Wes Reinagel, also a former Alabama video coordinator, joins A‑State as head video coordinator, stepping into his first season with the Razorbacks after a productive stint with the Crimson Tide.
Isaiah Taveras, who spent four years as a head student manager for Syracuse men’s basketball, transitions to player development and video duties, adding depth to the team’s instructional resources.
Jake Harrell, a hometown product, returns to Arkansas to assume a player development and video role, continuing his involvement with the program at a more strategic level.
Ron Trapps, a former collegiate player at Coastal Carolina and North Carolina Central who earned two gold medals at the Armed Forces Basketball Championships, rounds out the group with his playing experience and coaching background.
Ryan Pannone, who highlighted the diverse backgrounds of the new hires, said the blend of experience across different programs will help the Razorbacks compete at a higher level.
