Arkansas State football gathered its supporters at the Cooper Alumni Center for the annual kickoff celebration, a night that blended an all‑you‑can‑eat buffet, live music, local vendors and an interactive Football 101 session called Barb’s Blitz.
Community Engagement and Fan Connection
Head coach Butch Jones emphasized that the event is one of the highlights of the offseason calendar, using the occasion to reinforce the program’s deep roots in Jonesboro and Northeast Arkansas and to showcase the team’s appreciation for its fans and donors.
Jones noted that the conversation around the program’s future is anchored in tangible goals: getting bigger, stronger and faster, and he praised the players for the remarkable progress they have made in those areas.
Building a Stronger Roster
The coaching staff has placed a premium on improving functional strength and overall athleticism, a focus that has already yielded visible gains among the roster.
Beyond physical development, the team is establishing a set of guiding principles that will define its identity on both sides of the ball and in special teams, creating a cultural framework that players can rally around.
A Vision for the Future
These pillars of principles and values are intended to guide performance, reinforce accountability and ensure that the program’s success is measured not only in wins but also in the character and cohesion of the team.
