A New Chapter for the Razorbacks
The University of Arkansas women's basketball program has released its complete 2026‑27 schedule, a 30‑game lineup that blends 16 conference battles with a dozen non‑conference contests and a preseason exhibition.
SEC play opens on Dec. 31, 2026, when the Razorbacks host Vanderbilt in their first league showdown, setting the tone for a season that will see them face every other member of the SEC at least once on the road or at home.
Home fans can circle Jan. 28, 2027, for a matchup against Mississippi State, and Feb. 28, 2027, for the final regular‑season showdown against Tennessee, while the team will also enjoy regular home games against Florida, Ole Miss and LSU throughout the campaign.
The schedule also includes road trips to South Carolina on Jan. 10, 2027, and to Missouri on Feb. 21, 2027, as well as open dates on Jan. 24 and Feb. 18 that provide flexibility for rescheduling or additional non‑conference play.
Coach Kelsi Musick, now in her second year at the helm, inherits a program that went 1‑15 in SEC play last season and finished with a 12‑20 overall record; her first season ended with an 88‑71 loss to Vanderbilt, a game that underscored the steep learning curve ahead.
Arkansas has not qualified for the NCAA Tournament since 2022, a drought that the coaching staff hopes to end by building on the experience gained from those 30 confirmed dates and aiming for a stronger finish in the SEC.
The upcoming season represents more than just a slate of games; it is a test of resilience for a roster that must translate early‑season optimism into consistent performance, especially against traditional powerhouses like Tennessee and LSU.
