Arrest in Georgia Linked to NASCAR Legend's Home
Terrell Williams, a 35‑year‑old man from Georgia, was taken into custody in Cobb County after a break‑in at the former residence of NASCAR driver Greg Biffle. The incident, which occurred on January 8, 2024, drew immediate attention from local law enforcement and the sports community.
Investigators say the burglary resulted in the loss of more than $30,000 in cash, a collection of firearms, and assorted NASCAR memorabilia, including gold and silver coins that had been part of the Biffle family’s personal archive.
Electronic surveillance and cellular data placed Williams at the property at the critical moment, while a radio‑frequency detector found in his possession was used to locate hidden security cameras that had been installed on the premises.
The following day, authorities allege, Williams spent portions of the stolen cash at a mobile automotive dealership in Connecticut County, purchasing a vehicle that was later traced back to him through transaction records.
Recovered Items and Family Reaction
Through a series of search warrants executed in Georgia, most of the stolen cash and memorabilia were recovered, bringing a degree of closure to the Biffle family, who expressed relief that heirlooms and personal artifacts had been returned.
Sheriff Darren Campbell noted that the case is part of a broader white‑collar inquiry that stretches across several states, from South Carolina to California, suggesting possible connections to additional criminal enterprises.
Williams now faces a slate of felonies, including safecracking, money laundering, possession of burglary tools, larceny of firearms and breaking and entering, and he remains in custody pending extradition to North Carolina.
