The 2024 Community Shield will pit Arsenal against Manchester City in a clash that traditionally marks the first silverware of the English season, setting the tone for the months ahead.

Beyond the spectacle, the game serves as the final warm‑up before the 2026‑27 Premier League campaign opens on August 21, a season in which Arsenal will begin against newly promoted Coventry City.
Two days later, City will begin their competitive campaign under Maresca, hosting Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium, while the tactical battle between Arteta and Maresca promises to shape early narratives.
