A Summer Showcase on the Field
On July 25, Berkshire Community College hosted the Ascension Elite Football Camp, drawing roughly 80 high school athletes eager to sharpen their skills.
The day began with linemen working on stance and explosive block techniques, while a wide receiver ran precise passing routes in a drill that highlighted route‑running fundamentals.
The camp’s climax was a 7‑on‑7 championship game, where players celebrated after a game‑winning touchdown, underscoring the competitive spirit of the event.
Among the standout participants were Gio Venable of Wahconah and Hudah Levi, a former Drury standout, who both took part in the drills and the final match.
Tucker Hartmann, who leads the Lanesborough Tiger‑Saints Youth Football program, organized the camp, coordinating the activities and ensuring a professional environment for the prospects.
The event was held on the college’s campus in the heart of Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and was covered by local media as a key summer recruiting opportunity.
