A spacious solution for a crowded demand
The suite covers 2,500 square feet and can accommodate up to 150 guests, offering a dedicated area for fans to gather and watch matches together.
When a watch party caused furniture damage, the bar introduced a $40 cover charge for all World Cup games, a move meant to protect assets and control crowds.
The fee was soon reduced to $20 for the rest of the tournament, but not before some local residents voiced concerns about the initial price and the lack of online advertising.
One neighbor argued that the cover might deter support during non‑event periods, while another noted that the venue will rely on Astoria’s community once the World Cup excitement wanes.
Despite the controversy, the bar continues to draw large crowds, and its capacity often fills up during big games, underscoring the need for a larger, controlled space.
