Front Office Overhaul
The Atlanta Hawks unveiled a series of front-office promotions that saw Peter Dinwiddie elevated to executive vice president of basketball operations, replacing Bryson Graham, who departed for a similar role in Chicago.
Dinwiddie, who spent five years with the Philadelphia 76ers and 14 seasons with the Indiana Pacers, previously held the senior vice president of strategy and analytics position before his promotion, bringing a blend of analytical expertise and league-wide experience to the role.
Earlier this offseason, Onsi Saleh advanced from general manager to president of basketball operations, while Maxwell Kupchak, son of veteran executive Mitch Kupchak, moved up from coordinator of cap strategy and player personnel to director of that same department, signaling a concerted effort to tighten cap management and personnel planning.
The organization also confirmed the hiring of former ESPN reporter Tim Bontemps as a strategic advisor, adding a seasoned media perspective to the front office as the Hawks aim to enhance their strategic outlook and competitiveness in the coming seasons.
