Auburn Basketball Announces 2026‑27 Non‑Conference Slate

Eight home games at Neville Arena headline a schedule that blends revenge matchups, neutral‑site festivals and early‑season tests

Auburn University has unveiled its non‑conference slate for the 2026‑27 men’s basketball season, a 12‑game lineup that blends home‑court comfort at Neville Arena with a series of high‑profile road tests. The schedule was announced on August 28 and is intended to build momentum after the program’s recent NIT championship.

The season opens on November 4 with a home game against Southeastern Louisiana, followed by a contest with Appalachian State before the Tigers welcome the Arizona Wildcats on November 13. That matchup offers a chance for revenge after a 97‑68 loss in Tucson the previous year.

Auburn will then travel to Las Vegas for the Player’s Era festival, where it will face West Virginia on November 17 and either Kansas or UNLV on November 18, before closing the Vegas leg against an unnamed opponent on November 19.

Back on home soil, the Tigers will host Lipscomb on November 24, journey to Clemson for the ACC‑SEC Challenge on December 1, and return to Neville Arena for games against Eastern Kentucky on December 6 and Alabama State on December 13.

The non‑conference stretch continues with neutral‑site games against Middle Tennessee on December 15 and Wisconsin on December 19, before the schedule concludes with home victories over Lehigh on December 22 and Morgan State on December 29.

A schedule built for growth

Coach Steven Pearl, now in his second year, will rely on returning guards Tahaad Pettiford and forward Kevin Overton, while newcomers Adam Olsen, Thomas Dowd and Bukky Oboye add depth and shooting options. The ambitious slate is designed to position the team for a return to the NCAA Tournament.
