Auburn University’s men’s basketball program is set to embark on an eight‑day foreign tour of Greece, beginning on August 4 and concluding on August 12.
A Week of Firsts in the Aegean
The itinerary includes two exhibition matchups against Serbian club KK Mega Superbet, scheduled for August 8 and August 9 in the resort town of Mykonos. Neither game will be televised or streamed, leaving fans to follow the action only in person.
The tour represents the first competitive basketball since the Tigers completed the 2022‑23 season with a 22‑16 record and captured the NIT championship under second‑year head coach Steven Pearl.
Pearl’s first season was marked by a five‑game winning streak that propelled the team into the postseason despite an NCAA Tournament omission, a narrative that adds intrigue to the upcoming overseas tests.
Adding a personal touch, former Auburn forward Filip Jović will be on the roster of KK Mega Superbet, having previously worn the orange and blue before returning to college play.
While the exhibition matches are not expected to influence the regular season, they provide a valuable opportunity for player development and team chemistry as the Tigers look to build on last year’s momentum.
