Homecoming for a Local Star
Audrey Ericksen, a native of Cary, North Carolina, is set to bring her basketball talents back to the state that shaped her early career. Growing up in the Triangle, she excelled at Green Level High School, where she led her team in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks while earning multiple All‑Conference and All‑State honors.
Boston University Tenure
Ericksen spent three seasons at Boston University, serving as team captain and starting in 85 of 93 games. Her sophomore year was the most productive, as she averaged 5.7 points per game and ranked second on the squad with 36 three‑pointers. She also delivered a career‑high 20‑point performance against Rider, shooting a perfect 6‑of‑6 from beyond the arc, and was named CAA Rookie of the Week after a 17‑point effort against Colgate.
After a standout collegiate journey that included a freshman season in which she started every game and a senior season marked by leadership and consistency, Ericksen announced her transfer to NC State. The move completes a full‑circle story, allowing her to finish her eligibility with the Wolfpack, the very program she watched from the stands as a young fan.
A New Class at NC State
The incoming class also features two 2026 SportsCenter NEXT Top 100 signees and transfers from Auburn and Colorado, promising a deep and competitive roster. Ericksen will join a group that blends fresh talent with experienced veterans, creating a dynamic environment for the Wolfpack's ambitions in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Coach Kim Mulkey expressed excitement about Ericksen’s leadership and scoring ability, noting that her experience could help accelerate the team’s development. With a strong supporting cast and a clear vision for the program, the Wolfpack look poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
