Australian forward Goc Malual has officially joined the Colorado Buffaloes ahead of the 2026‑27 season, bringing a 6‑foot‑8 frame and a year of professional development in Australia to the Big 12 conference.
Malual spent the 2025‑26 campaign as a development player with the Sydney Kings, where he appeared in seven games and posted 10.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest. Prior to that, he contributed 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds for the Sydney Comets in the NBL1 East league and represented Australia in the National Youth Program.
His decision to commit to Colorado was driven by the university’s emphasis on player development, a supportive coaching environment, and the chemistry he observed within a roster that blends freshmen, returning players and new arrivals.
A Program Poised for Growth
The Buffaloes’ facilities in Boulder, framed by the Rocky Mountains, provide a unique backdrop for Malual’s transition. The team’s diverse composition, featuring a mix of international talent and domestic standouts, has fostered a collaborative atmosphere during summer workouts.
Looking Ahead to the Big 12 Season
Malual’s ultimate goal is to help Colorado secure an NCAA Tournament berth. With preseason training slated for fall 2026, the forward will integrate into a system that values both offensive versatility and defensive intensity, aiming to translate his collegiate experience into early professional opportunities.
