Beyond his club performance, Lysell has an international résumé that includes bronze medals at the 2022 World Junior Championship and the 2021 under‑18 World Championship while representing Sweden. He was originally drafted by Boston in the first round, 21st overall, of the 2021 NHL Draft, and has logged 12 career NHL games, contributing three points.

The Bruins will welcome Ivan Ivan, who signed with Colorado as a free agent on March 5, 2024. Though his NHL experience is limited, Ivan has demonstrated versatility in the minors and brings a physical presence that the Bruins hope will complement their existing forward group.
