Avery Goetz Secures Second-Team All-State Soccer Honors
Avery Goetz, a junior at Smithfield High School, has been recognized on the Virginia High School League Class 4 second-team all-state soccer squad, a testament to her growing impact on the field.
The all-state teams, composed of five forwards, five midfielders, five defenders and a single goalkeeper, represent the pinnacle of high school soccer talent across the Commonwealth.

The all-state selection committee, comprised of eight coaches — two from each of the four regions — evaluated performances throughout the season to determine the final roster.
