A Feathered Rescue
Early this week, the Avon Police Department in Ohio responded to an unusual call involving a wild bird caught in a soccer net.
Officers Steve Vogel and David Orlando arrived on scene and carefully untangled the owl, ensuring the animal suffered no injury.
After the rescue, the owl took flight and disappeared into the surrounding woods, unharmed, while the department took the opportunity to remind the public that its officers are always ready to serve.
