Ayva Jordan Joins U.S. U-20 Women’s World Cup Pre-Training Camp as Alternate

Freshman forward from Las Vegas will train with the national team in Poland while preparing for upcoming home matches with the Tennessee Volunteers.

A Freshman’s Call-Up

Ayva Jordan, a freshman forward for the Tennessee Volunteers, has been named one of four alternates for the United States U-20 Women’s World Cup pre-training camp that will run from August 26 through September 5 in Poland.

Under the guidance of head coach Vicky Jepson, Jordan will join the national team for an intensive training period, after which she is expected to return to Knoxville unless she earns a spot on the final roster for the World Cup.

Jordan has already made an impact for the Lady Vols, starting both of the team’s opening victories — a 4-1 win over Rutgers and a 2-0 triumph over South Alabama — and she recorded her first collegiate goal in the latter match.

The Las Vegas native was recently placed sixth in the 2026 class rankings and earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer.com Preseason Freshman Best XI, highlighting her status as one of the nation’s most highly regarded newcomers.

Next Steps on the Schedule

Her next club fixture will be a home game against Milwaukee on August 20 at 7 p.m. ET, followed by a match against Western Carolina on August 23 at 6 p.m. ET before she departs for the camp.

The United States Soccer Federation announced the official roster for the tournament on Wednesday, underscoring the significance of the upcoming camp as a final evaluation point for the coaching staff.
