A New Chapter for the Cougars
The Azusa Pacific University women's soccer program unveiled its 2026 campaign, a slate that comprises eighteen contests, among them a single exhibition match to kick off the year.
Eleven of those games will be played on the familiar turf of Cougar Soccer Complex, giving the team a strong home foundation as they navigate a schedule that opens with six of the first eight fixtures on home soil.
Balancing Home and Road
The early portion of the season also includes a two‑match excursion to Tacoma, Washington, where the Cougars will meet Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran, adding a regional test to their calendar.
The fall schedule is designed to give the Cougars a balanced test, offering early home opportunities that can build momentum while also demanding decisive performances on the road.
Road visits to Chapman and La Verne in October are followed by a stretch of three consecutive home games, providing a chance to fine‑tune tactics before the final push.
Chasing the NCCAA Crown
Head Coach Brooke Lincoln said the new schedule represents both a challenge and an opportunity, noting that the team is eager to embrace fresh competition while aiming to contend for the National Christian College Athletic Association championship.
With the NCCAA tournament on the horizon, the Cougars view each contest as a stepping stone toward a national championship, and the coaching staff has emphasized preparation and resilience.
