Season Opener
The University of Wisconsin’s women’s hockey program enters the 2026‑27 season as the reigning national champion, a status that will be celebrated the moment the team steps onto the ice.
The opening series will open with a matchup against St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, on September 25‑26, marking the first test of the new campaign and setting the stage for the banner ceremony.
A week later, the Badgers will host Boston University for a home opener on October 1‑2, where the NCAA championship banner will be raised before the first puck drops, a moment that fans have been anticipating all summer.
Nonconference Slate
Beyond those early contests, the schedule stretches across a diverse slate of nonconference opponents, including Union, Ohio State, Minnesota State, St. Cloud State, St. Thomas, Bemidji State and Minnesota Duluth, each series designed to sharpen the team’s depth before conference play.
The full WCHA slate, announced in May, features additional battles against Ohio State (Oct. 9‑10), Minnesota State (Oct. 16‑17), St. Cloud State (Oct. 30‑31), St. Thomas (Nov. 13‑14), Bemidji State (Nov. 20‑21) and Minnesota Duluth (Jan. 8‑9), ensuring a rigorous path toward another title run.
