A November Tradition Rekindled
The University of Wisconsin Badgers are set to compete in the 2026 Baha Mar Bahamas Hoops Championship, a November tournament that will be held at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas. The event marks the latest chapter in a series of early‑season showcases that the Badgers have embraced for years.
Joining Wisconsin in the field will be Seton Hall and NC State, with a fourth opponent still to be determined. The tournament continues a pattern of high‑profile non‑conference games that have previously seen the Badgers capture titles at the Greenbrier Tip‑Off in West Virginia and the Fort Myers Tip‑Off in Florida.
Beyond the Bahamas, the Badgers’ schedule this season is packed with marquee matchups. They will host Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue and Washington, while also traveling to face Michigan State, Maryland, Ohio State, Rutgers, UCLA and USC on the road.
The Badgers will also meet Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota in home‑and‑away series, and they are slated to head to Nashville on December 19 to take on the Auburn Tigers. The breadth of the schedule underscores the program’s commitment to testing itself against top talent.
Coach Greg Gard will guide the team through this demanding stretch, hoping to translate early‑season experiences into momentum for Big Ten play.
