At the 2026 Mid‑American Conference Football Media Kickoff in Detroit, Ball State’s head coach Mike Uremovich joined senior standouts Chris Hood and Justin Thomas to speak about the upcoming season. The trio highlighted the program’s momentum after a 3‑5 conference record that placed the Cardinals ninth in the league a year ago.
Uremovich emphasized that the team has added depth through 34 transfers among 58 new student‑athletes, creating a more dynamic and competitive roster. ‘We’re excited about the talent we’ve brought in,’ he said, noting that the depth will allow the staff to experiment with multiple formations.
