Ball State University’s football program has secured a high‑profile commitment from Jaiden Daniels, a standout cornerback from Archbishop Hoban High School in Ohio.
A Defensive Boost for the Cardinals
Daniels, who recorded 23 tackles, 11 pass breakups and four interceptions last season, received his first offer from the Cardinals on May 13 and formally pledged on June 20, choosing Ball State over programs such as Akron, Ohio University and Penn State.
His addition brings the Cardinals’ defensive backfield to include fellow commits Amare Mitchell, Demond Green and Sebastian Moore, making the group the fourth defensive pledge in the 2027 recruiting class.
Coaches say the new signees give Ball State a depth of talent that could reshape its defensive schemes heading into the next season, as the staff looks to build on a recruiting class that ranks among the most competitive in the Mid‑American region.
The commitment underscores Ball State’s growing appeal to top talent in the Midwest and signals a promising future for a program that continues to punch above its traditional weight in college football.
