Boston University senior Kyrone Alexander is currently representing Barbados at the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Caribbean Pre‑Qualifiers, marking his first competitive appearance since a season‑ending injury.
In his debut, Alexander posted 15 points while also grabbing three rebounds, dishing out three assists and recording two steals, helping the island nation to an 89‑54 victory over the Cayman Islands on July 8.
The dominant win not only showcases Alexander’s readiness but also places Barbados in a strong position within Group C, where they are scheduled to face Haiti, Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the coming fixtures.
Looking Ahead
With the group winner advancing to the next round of the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Pre‑Qualifiers, each of the upcoming matches carries added significance. Barbados will look to maintain their momentum as they chase a spot in the tournament’s later stages.
