Barrie Colts Sign 18‑Year‑Old Forward Ben Lombardi

Connecticut prospect joins OHL roster, bringing size, skill and a familiar connection to teammate Joe Salandra

A New Chapter for the Colts

The Barrie Colts have officially added 18‑year‑old forward Ben Lombardi to their roster, inking him to a standard Ontario Hockey League player agreement on Tuesday.

Standing 5‑foot‑11 and weighing 194 pounds, Lombardi shoots right and is described as a physical, north‑south player who excels at puck protection and thrives in the interior of the ice.

A native of Greenwich, Connecticut, Lombardi most recently starred for Brunswick School before making the move to the Mid Fairfield Rangers, where he developed a long‑standing chemistry with Colts forward Joe Salandra.

General manager Marty Williamson praised the youngster’s competitive fire and growth potential, noting that Lombardi’s familiarity with Salandra should smooth his transition to the OHL.

Colts fans can look forward to seeing how the American prospect will blend size, skill and a winning mindset into the team’s forward lines as the new season approaches.
