The 2026 spring season has brought a wave of accolades for Baruch College’s baseball program, as four of its players were selected to the District 4 Regional All‑Star team.
Regional Honors
Roy Longarzo, a senior whose name now sits atop the school’s all‑time runs‑scored list, earned Third Team All‑Region honors from both the American Baseball Coaches Association and D3Baseball.com. He batted .412 with 40 hits, 19 RBI, eight doubles, four triples and one home run in 26 games, finishing his career with 123 runs scored, the most in Baruch history.
Sam Steinman, who anchored the lineup with a .434 average, added 36 runs, 34 RBI and three home runs, was named MVP of the CUNYAC Championship Tournament and received D3Baseball.com Second Team All‑Region recognition.
Pitcher Joseph Bello contributed both on the mound and at the plate, recording six saves — the most in program history — and batting .327 with 33 hits, 34 RBI, six doubles, three triples and two home runs as a catcher, earning D3Baseball.com Third Team All‑Region honors as a relief pitcher.
Benjamin Norwood rounded out the group with six wins in ten appearances, striking out 47 batters over 47 innings while posting a 6‑2 record, and was selected to the D3Baseball.com Third Team as a starting pitcher.
The quartet’s performances were instrumental in guiding the Bearcats to the 2026 CUNYAC Baseball Championship, a triumph that highlights the program’s growing prominence in collegiate baseball.
