2026‑27 Season Lineup Revealed
The Basketball Champions League Board has confirmed the participants for the upcoming 2026‑27 regular season, selecting 30 clubs to compete after a rigorous evaluation of 61 applicants.
The competition will also feature 24 teams battling in the qualification rounds, which are scheduled to run from September 14 to 20, 2026. The regular season itself is set to begin on October 6, 2026.
A draw ceremony to determine the group allocations and the match‑ups for the qualification tournaments will take place on July 8, 2024, and will be streamed live on the official BCL YouTube channel, allowing fans worldwide to follow the proceedings in real time.
Among the confirmed entries, traditional powerhouses such as ALBA BERLIN, Telekom Baskets Bonn and AEK BC stand out. Bonn, the 2023 champions, return to the league, while AEK BC holds the distinction of having appeared in all 11 seasons of the competition to date.
The roster also includes three newcomers — BK KVIS Pardubice from the Czech Republic, Trabzonspor from Turkey and FC Porto from Portugal — adding fresh narratives to the upcoming campaign. The full lineup reflects a blend of national league champions and historically successful clubs, underscoring the league’s expanding reach across Europe.
Organizers highlighted that the upcoming season will showcase clubs from a record number of countries, with teams hailing from Germany, Switzerland, Serbia, Czechia, Croatia, Belgium, Hungary, Portugal, Poland, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Greece, Turkey and beyond. The diversity of participants reflects the growing popularity of the Basketball Champions League across the continent.
