A new 24‑hour baseball and softball training center has opened its doors in the Elm Terrace Shopping Center of Elm Grove, West Virginia, promising round‑the‑clock practice for athletes of every age and skill level.
Round‑the‑Clock Training for a New Generation
Spanning 5,200 square feet, the facility equips players with batting cages, pitching mounds and a variety of machines tailored for both baseball and softball drills.
The venture is led by Tyler Cooley, a former collegiate pitcher who starred at Wheeling Park High School and West Liberty University, in partnership with Chris Sidick, a professional player and founder of C‑Side Sports Academy.
While the center provides most of the training apparatus, members are required to bring their own bats and gloves, a policy that underscores the community‑driven nature of the space.
In the coming months, private instruction and seasonal camps will be introduced, expanding the venue’s role as a hub for youth leagues, school teams and adult leagues.
The Elm Grove location joins a network of eight similar sites across the eastern United States, signaling a growing demand for specialized, always‑available training resources.
Local coaches and parents have welcomed the facility as a much‑needed resource that removes the constraints of traditional practice schedules, allowing teams to train at any hour that fits their calendars.
Cooley envisions the site as a stepping stone toward a broader expansion, with plans to replicate the model in additional markets while maintaining the same high‑quality, accessible training environment.
