The Battle Creek Enquirer has unveiled its 2026 All-City Baseball Team, a roster that showcases the finest talent emerging from the region's high schools this spring.
A Season of Excellence
Selection of the team relied on a two-step process: city coaches submitted nominations, and those candidates were then evaluated by the Enquirer's sports staff alongside the coaching panel, ensuring a blend of peer recognition and expert assessment.
Among the standout arms, Tanner Alderson of Harper Creek capped his senior season as the team's ace, finishing with seven victories, a 1.71 earned-run average and 48 strikeouts, while Carter Dzwik of St. Philip/Climax-Scotts signed with Aquinas College and logged a 1.05 ERA with 69 strikeouts.
At the plate, Garrett Hill from Pennfield led hitters with a .422 average and a .529 on-base percentage, earning all-conference honors, while Sam McCullough broke the school record for doubles with 20, driving in 33 runs and batting .427.
Versatility shone through players such as Camden Bradley of Lakeview, who contributed as a designated hitter, pitcher and first baseman, and Isaiah Jackson, who posted a .350 average, 22 walks and 17 stolen bases, drawing all-conference and all-district accolades.
The team's depth was further highlighted by Malachi Dishman of Battle Creek Central, who stole 32 bases, and by Mason Hood, a sophomore who hit .400 and ranked second all-time in walks for a single season.
