Beckham Black, a 5‑star point guard in the class of 2027, has quickly become one of the most talked‑about prospects on the summer circuit. Ranked No. 1 overall by ESPN, the young guard is already drawing comparisons to elite playmakers as he prepares for his senior year.
Currently competing with AB Elite in the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, Black has helped his team start the tournament with three straight victories. In a recent matchup against Brad Beal Elite he posted 24 points and six assists, while his breakout performance came against MeanStreets, where he erupted for 37 points.
Dominating the Peach Jam
Beyond club play, Black recently added a gold medal from the FIBA U17 Men’s World Cup to his résumé, showcasing his ability to perform on the international stage. His standout stats — second in scoring and fourth in assists across the Peach Jam — have only amplified the buzz surrounding his recruitment.
The surge of interest has not gone unnoticed by college programs. Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and a host of other powerhouses have already extended scholarship offers, with Duke’s head coach Jon Scheyer actively engaged in the recruitment process.
