The NASCAR Cup Series is set to descend on New Hampshire Motor Speedway for its annual summer weekend, a two‑day showcase that blends on‑track action with a slate of fan‑focused activities.
At the center of the story is Christopher Bell, who enters the Dollar Tree 301 with a personal mission: to finally break a seven‑race streak of second‑place finishes that has kept him just outside the playoffs.
A Historic Track Record
Bell’s quest is underscored by a stark statistical backdrop: only five active full‑time Cup drivers have ever won at New Hampshire, and Denny Hamlin sits atop the list with three victories, while Bell, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney each hold two.
The track’s unique layout has rewarded Bell heavily, with seven wins across NASCAR’s three national series in just 12 starts, including two Cup victories and a Truck Series win.
Saturday’s Truck Series race, the Team EJP 175, will be the final chance for several drivers to lock in playoff positions. Names such as Layne Riggs, Kaden Honeycutt, Grant Enfinger, Ben Rhodes, Daniel Hemric and Tyler Ankrum are all still in the mix.
Beyond the racing, the weekend is sponsored by Dollar Tree, whose branding will appear on multiple vehicles, including John Hunter Nemechek’s No. 5 Toyota Tundra in the Truck Series and Justin Bonsignore’s No. 51 modified in the NWMT.
Erik Jones will also compete in the Dollar Tree 301 NCS race on Sunday, with Dollar Tree paint schemes on his No. 42 and No. 43 Toyota Camry XSEs.
Fans can also enjoy off‑track entertainment, from concerts by Everybody Wants Some and Tim Dugger to a Family Movie Night, driver autograph sessions and a fireworks display on Sunday.
