Academic Honors on the Court
Bellarmine University’s men’s basketball program has once again been celebrated for its dual commitment to athletic competition and scholarly achievement.
The National Association of Basketball Coaches recently placed six of the program’s student‑athletes on its Honor Court, a distinction reserved for those who maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
Among those honored are Luke Anderson, Kenyon Goodin, Jack Karasinski, Brian Waddell, Myles Watkins and Grant Whitaker, each of whom exemplifies the balance of rigorous academics and competitive play.
Team Academic Excellence Recognized
In addition to the individual accolades, the entire team earned the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award for the fourth consecutive year, reflecting a sustained collective GPA of 3.0 or above.
The university’s emphasis on integrating scholarship with athletics extends beyond the hardwood, influencing campus culture and reinforcing partnerships with academic institutions.
