Bellarmine University’s women’s soccer program has released its 2026 regular‑season slate, a 17‑game journey that blends a rigorous Atlantic Sun Conference schedule with a handful of high‑profile non‑conference road trips.
The campaign opens at home on September 10, when the Knights host Wright State at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium, marking the first of eight home appearances scheduled throughout the year.
Coach Steve Bornhoffer, now in his second year, will guide a squad that improved from a modest Division I debut to 11 victories last season, positioning the team as a contender for the ASUN title.
Key matchups to watch
Among the most anticipated fixtures are the early September showdowns against Marshall, Morehead State and Stetson, which will see the Knights play three consecutive home games, followed later in the month by a clash with ASUN Graphite Division champion Florida Gulf Coast.
The schedule also features a demanding stretch of road games, beginning with early‑season trips to Lindenwood, Indiana, Northern Kentucky and IU Indy, before concluding the regular season with a three‑game homestand against West Florida, Queens and reigning ASUN Tournament champion Lipscomb.
In addition to the regular season, Bellarmine will test itself in exhibition matches, including a home game against Murray State on August 8 after a warm‑up victory over Southern Indiana on August 5.
The Knights finished the previous campaign as ASUN Tournament semifinalists and will now face new league member West Florida, a 2025 tournament champion that earned an NCAA Division II berth, adding another layer of intrigue to the upcoming schedule.
