Maxon Vig's Montreal Opportunity
Sophomore defenseman Maxon Vig will attend the Montreal Canadiens' development camp after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. The invitation reflects the Canadiens' confidence in Vig's two‑way defensive abilities and his potential to contribute at the professional level.
Oliver Peer's Leadership Role
Senior center and team captain Oliver Peer is headed to the Winnipeg Jets' development camp. Last season Peer posted 20 goals and 16 assists in 34 games, serving as the Beavers' offensive catalyst and leader on and off the ice.
Max Hildebrand's Goaltending Excellence
Goaltender Max Hildebrand, also a sophomore, earned a spot in the Winnipeg Jets' camp after a standout season in which he posted a .895 save percentage and a 2.71 goals‑against average over 24 appearances. His performance earned him the Western Hockey League's goaltender of the year honor for 2024‑25.
Both Peer and Hildebrand have previous NHL camp experience. Peer previously skated at a Pittsburgh Penguins development camp while competing for the Windsor Spitfires in the Ontario Hockey League, and Hildebrand spent the prior summer in the Los Angeles Kings' camp.
