The Bemidji State women's hockey program has unveiled its 2026‑27 schedule, a slate that blends early‑season exhibitions, high‑profile non‑conference matchups and a full Western Collegiate Hockey Association campaign.
Season Highlights
The Beavers will open their campaign with an exhibition game against St. Cloud State on September 19 in Brainerd, setting the tone for a year that also features a debut for head coach Greg May, known widely as "Boom".
Minnesota’s Gophers await in the regular‑season opener at the Sanford Center on October 2‑3, a home‑ice showdown that promises a fierce early test.
The team will then travel to Ridder Arena in Minneapolis for non‑conference contests against Maine and a second meeting with Minnesota, while a January series in Boston against Boston College marks the first encounter with the Eagles since 2000.
Conference play will see Bemidji State face rivals such as Minnesota Duluth, St. Cloud State and Wisconsin, with several games scheduled at neutral venues that broaden the team’s exposure across the Midwest and Northeast.
The schedule culminates in February and March with participation in both the WCHA playoffs and the NCAA tournament, giving the Beavers a chance to extend their season beyond the regular slate.
