Ben Schoen, a 2019 graduate of Maumee High School, has been announced as the newest member of the Toledo Walleye’s marketing and promotions department. The move brings a familiar face back to the region, where he has long championed the growth of youth hockey.
Schoen’s playing résumé includes stints with the Maumee Express and the Toledo Cherry Bombers, as well as a collegiate career at the University of Toledo where he skated for the Rockets. Those experiences have equipped him with a deep understanding of the local hockey ecosystem.

In his new role, Schoen will focus on amplifying the Walleye’s community outreach, designing promotional campaigns, and fostering grassroots interest in the sport.
