Roland’s collegiate career, which spanned from 1985 to 1988, was defined by back‑to‑back SEC championships and a defense that topped national rankings in total, rushing and scoring categories. As a senior he earned All‑American honors and was later drafted into the NFL before returning to Auburn in a front‑office role.
Off the field, Roland’s story is one of resilience. He has survived cancer twice, an experience that deepened his gratitude for the support he received from Auburn and shaped his perspective on life and sport.
