The 2025 campaign marked a milestone for the Bentley University field hockey team, finishing with a 13‑9 record and securing a No. 10 spot in the final National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll.
A Dual Celebration of Skill and Scholarship
Gracie Moore, a senior forward, was highlighted for her on‑field production and classroom performance. She earned Academic All‑District honors, was selected to the national ballot for Academic All‑America, and was named first‑team All‑America by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Moore contributed 15 goals and 12 assists while guiding the Falcons to an NCAA Tournament appearance and the championship game of the Northeast 10 Conference.
Nicole Hartz, also a senior, received the NFHCA Scholar of Distinction award for the second consecutive year. Maintaining a 3.90 GPA or higher, she started every one of the team’s 22 games, adding two goals and an assist. Her consistency on defense and midfield helped stabilize the squad throughout a demanding schedule.
Both athletes’ achievements were recognized by College Sports Communicators, an organization that celebrates academic excellence in collegiate sports. Their honors underscore the program’s growing reputation for producing leaders who excel in competition and scholarship.
With the season concluded, the focus now shifts to the national ballot for All‑America honors. Moore’s continued presence on that list could further elevate Bentley’s profile as a program that blends competitive success with academic rigor.
