Kickoff Times Set for Oklahoma State's 2026 Season Opener
The Big 12 Conference, together with its television partners, has released the kickoff times for the Oklahoma State Cowboys' first three games of the 2026 football season. The schedule not only marks the start of a new era under head coach Eric Morris but also revives several historic rivalries.
The season opens on September 5 when the Cowboys travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a 2:45 p.m. Central Time kickoff that will be carried live on ESPNU. This will be the first time the Cowboys have opened at Tulsa since 2000, adding a fresh chapter to a series that has produced memorable moments over the decades.
A week later, on September 12, Oklahoma State will host the University of Oregon at 11 a.m. CT, with the game airing on ESPN. That matchup marks the first home appearance of head coach Eric Morris and introduces fans to his new offensive scheme.
The following Saturday, September 19, the Cowboys welcome Murray State University to Stillwater for a 6 p.m. CT contest streamed on ESPN+. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs and the only stretch of back‑to‑back home games on the schedule.
The conference opener at West Virginia on September 26 will be broadcast on either FOX or FS1, though the exact kickoff time has yet to be finalized. The series has been renewed for a 13‑year stretch that began in 2012, underscoring the enduring rivalry.
Beyond the schedule, the announcement highlights Oklahoma State's 32‑0 record against FCS and NCAA Division I‑AA opponents since the 1978 division split, a testament to the program's dominance at that level.
All broadcast partners — ESPNU, ESPN, ESPN+, FOX and FS1 — are slated to carry the early‑season slate, ensuring that fans across the country can follow the Cowboys' progress as they aim to build on recent successes.
