Rising Stars of the Big Bend
Among the standout seniors, Donterrious Figgers II of Rickards, Aaron Johnson Jr. and Ashton Callahan of Florida High, as well as Trevor Jacobs from Lincoln and Jaylen Jones of Wakulla, have attracted multiple scholarship offers, reflecting a blend of regional pride and national interest.
Figgers, a versatile playmaker, lists Jackson State, Gardner‑Webb, South Alabama, Dartmouth, Troy, Mercer and Stanford among his suitors, while Johnson’s speed has earned him looks from Howard, Kentucky, Troy, Jackson State, Miami (Ohio), Jacksonville State and Western Kentucky.
