Tomiwa Adewumi of Marquette earned Offensive Player of the Week after delivering five points, including two goals and an assist, in a 4‑2 victory over Northern Illinois, marking his first three‑match scoring streak to start his collegiate career.
Georgetown’s defensive anchor Tate Lampman was recognized for Defensive Player of the Week, having posted back‑to‑back clean sheets that limited Delaware and Duke to just two shots on goal during a 2‑0 week for the Hoyas.
Brooks Boersma of Butler received Goalkeeper of the Week honors after making 13 saves in a 1‑0 loss to Indiana, tying for the fourth‑highest single‑game total in program history and posting a .929 save percentage.
Other standout contributors included Jordan Igwenma, who scored and assisted in Creighton’s 4‑2 win over San Francisco; Noeh Hernandez, who netted a league‑high three goals across DePaul’s 3‑1 triumph over Western Illinois and a 3‑3 draw at Loyola Chicago; Mitchell Baker, who struck twice in Georgetown’s 3‑0 road victory over Duke; Mateo Ponce Ocampo, whose goal and assist helped Georgetown secure a 1‑0 win over Delaware; Alex Yagudayev, who went 1‑0‑1 for Villanova while allowing only one goal in 180 minutes; and Ekene Okeke, who played the full 90 minutes in Xavier’s scoreless draw against Bellarmine, restricting opponents to just two shots on target.
The awards also paid tribute to recent past winners, with Carter Tavares (Creighton) and Ivar Nå Aga (St. John’s) having captured Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors on August 24, while Alex Yagudayev (Villanova) was recognized as Goalkeeper of the Week.
