Saturday’s Offensive Surge
The day opened with a 9‑7 nail‑biter over the Beavers 18U, a game that featured Russell Toth’s grand slam and five RBIs on three hits. Aidan Anderson added a solo homer and contributed three hits at the plate while pitching five innings that limited opponents to two runs on five hits. Reliever Brendan Magnusson tossed a scoreless frame, and Quin Garrett earned the win with six innings of work that yielded two runs on five hits. In the nightcap, the offense continued to click in a 6‑2 victory against the Gaylord Baseball Club 19U, where Anderson’s bat sparked the rally and Kurt Wilber’s shutout relief added a strikeout.
Friday’s Challenges
Friday proved tougher, as Post 98 dropped two contests, first to the Palacios Tailors and then to Midland Post 165 by a 10‑1 margin.
