The Big Rapids baseball team cemented its dominance in the Central State Activities Association Red Division by sweeping Grant in a doubleheader, posting scores of 9-5 and 5-2. The victories not only secured the division crown but also set the stage for a busy stretch of games that includes a Friday showdown with Lakeview and a Tuesday clash against Reed City.
Pitching proved pivotal in the series, with Brayden Scholz earning the win in the opening game and Cole Haist securing the victory in the second. Their efforts underscored the team's depth and resilience, qualities that have become hallmarks of the season's success.

Meanwhile, Chippewa Hills continued its strong form, improving to 17-7 with a pair of wins over Newaygo. Maverick Chapman delivered three hits in the first game, and Hunter Richter added three singles in the second, highlighting the breadth of offensive talent across the league.
The softball side of the program faced a tougher road, dropping two games to Grant by scores of 18-4 and 11-0. Despite the losses, standout performances came from Aleigha Kelsh, Kayleigh Knopf, Jaelynn Schuberg and Addy Fattore, each recording a hit in the opening game.
