2026 Kickoff Landscape

The Big Sky Conference has unveiled the kickoff times for all 56 of its football contests slated for the 2026 season, laying out a calendar that stretches from early September through late November.

Among the slate, the University of Idaho’s Vandals will appear in seven of the televised matchups, with three of those games slated for national exposure on ESPN and the remaining four carried by regional partners.

Broadcast Details

The broadcast plan includes a marquee doubleheader: the Vandals’ trip to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and their home showdown against Montana State will both be aired on ESPN. A road test at Utah will be shown on ESPNU, while the home contests against Southern Utah, Eastern Washington and UC Davis are set for SWX, the regional sports network.

Adding to the mix, the traditional rivalry known as the Battle of the Little Brown Stein between Idaho and Montana will be streamed by Scripps Sports from Missoula, Montana, giving fans another high‑profile outlet.

Coach Thomas Ford Jr. said the breadth of coverage reflects a growing appetite for the conference’s brand of play and underscores the program’s ambition to reach wider audiences.

The schedule also provides kickoff times and network assignments for each contest, giving viewers a clear roadmap for catching their favorite teams in action.
