Oregon and Penn State experienced the highest attrition, each losing nine scholarship players, while Northwestern and Rutgers each saw eight departures.
Despite the exits, several programs are bolstering their squads with incoming transfers. Oregon leads the way with eight new transfers, and both Indiana and USC have secured seven each, illustrating a competitive push to improve depth before the season begins.
Roster sizes vary widely among the ten Big Ten schools, with Maryland currently fielding the most players at fifteen. This variance reflects differing strategies, from building deep benches to maintaining tighter rotations.
A handful of athletes remain in the portal, awaiting decisions on eligibility or waiver applications. Among them are names such as Mihailo Petrovic, Toni Bilic, Isaiah Watts, Myles Rice, Chance Stephens, Robert Vaihola, Mathieu Grujicic, Wei Lin, Melih Tunca, Sasa Ciani, Tibor Mirtic, Emmanuel Ogbole, Harun Zrno, EJ Neal, Courtland Muldrew, Andrej Stojakovic, Jeremy Fears Jr. and Jacob Cofie, each of whom could influence the final lineups.
