A New Chapter for Buckeye Hockey
The Big Ten Conference has officially published the 2026‑27 men's hockey schedule, outlining a season that begins with a series of non‑conference matchups before the league schedule ramps up in October. Ohio State opens its campaign with games at RPI and Sacred Heart, then prepares for its home debut against Augustana.
Conference play kicks off with a home series against Michigan from October 29 through November 1. After an open week, the Buckeyes travel to Wisconsin and host Notre Dame later in November, setting a tone for a demanding stretch that includes a Thanksgiving weekend trip to Union and a December home series versus Michigan State.
The latter half of the schedule features a series of five consecutive Big Ten matchups to start 2027, beginning with road games at Penn State and Minnesota, followed by a home series against Wisconsin and a trip to Notre Dame. Additional contests include a December series at Union and a home series against UConn before the season wraps up with a final road game at Michigan State in March.
The regular season concludes with a slate of games across the league in March, after which the postseason will commence the following week, promising a high‑stakes finish to the campaign.
