The University of Binghamton’s men’s soccer program is buzzing with anticipation as it welcomes a ten‑player influx for the 2026 campaign. The new cohort comprises six freshmen and four transfers, each bringing a distinct set of skills and experiences that promise to reshape the team’s dynamics.
Coach Moon’s vision
Interim head coach Tommy Moon expressed enthusiasm about the incoming talent, emphasizing that the group’s competitive mindset and varied backgrounds will add depth to the squad. “We’re excited to see how these players can push each other and elevate our play,” Moon said.
Among the newcomers, Jack Costa, a left back from Garden City High School, arrives after guiding his team to back‑to‑back state championships. Anninos Nicolaou, a midfielder from the American Academy Limassol, brings Cyprus national team experience, while Evangelos Chrysostomou, a right back transferred from Hofstra, has logged 27 collegiate appearances.
Goalkeeper Natan Admassu, who transferred from Mid‑America Christian University and boasts stints at Wright State, joins the mix, alongside Noah Osei‑Tutu, a center midfielder from Jericho who has featured in both the Met Oval MLS NEXT and NYSC MLS NEXT programs.
The roster also includes Jona Meiner, a versatile center/left back from Fachoberschule Haar who played for SC Unterfohring, Khayr Ogunsanya, a center back transferred from Providence College and an academic honoree on the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll, and Trevor Carr, a goalkeeper who moved from Stony Brook and earned all‑conference accolades at Connetquot High School.
Additional signings such as Will Saxon, a right back from McLean High School named second‑team All‑Met by the Washington Post, and Parker Moses, a center midfielder from Maine‑Endwell who was recognized as a United Soccer Coaches All‑American, further enrich the squad.
The Bearcats will test this new talent in their season‑opening match on August 20 against Mt. St. Mary’s in Maryland, a game that will serve as the first measuring stick for the revamped lineup.
